Robin Blaser and Meredith Quartermain present a duet reading at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre (now The Cultch), 1895 Venables St, East Vancouver, on September 11, 2003. Blaser recounts a period of writer’s block, a morning coffee and cigarette, after which “suddenly a poem started.” Receiving these new poems by mail, “Meredith Quartermain played ping pong with [Blaser’s] poems,” creating a back and forth duet of poems in correspondence.
